Well based on a survey I did with 50 females and 50 males; in total 90% voted for google between the 18-25 age group.. the reason for this is because they can find information quickly relating to course work and assignements that they have.. However personally, its Yahoo all the way.

Yahoo has more stuff and is a true portal now for searching however i've seen Yahoo and Google pull up the same stuff depending on how you worded the search. Google still has yet to impress me.

back in the day hotbot.com could find anything you wanted i use www.dogpile.com often because they send the search request to all the major search engines.

Google. I like it's search engine better and the news page is set up less cluttered than Yahoo.

i would say yahoo because it has wider searching options, but google is just as good but with less options
