Back before the days of civil rights, there were a few White who were members of organizations, such as the KKK. When the civil rights movement started, the number rose significantly because White were being challenged. those who were against civil rights were always there, they just didnt express it as much. Should the US really believe that the war on terror is "creating" more terrorists, and should it stop the war on terror, even it is *thought by some* to be creating more terror in the short run? Let's not forget, even though there were more people expressing their opinions against civil rights during the civil rights movement, and even though many atrocities occured, the movement was still successful, even if many people are still enrolled in the KKK, for example. though racism is still a part of life, the civil rights activists got what they wanted for the most part. you cant deny that it was a huge success for them.

Failure to fight back churned out 20,000 graduates of Afghanistan's formal terrorist college during the 1990s.
Fighting back is merely attracting Jihadists to the battlefield where they can be killed.
Imams preaching hatred, Islamic conquest and submission to the will of the Imams are creating more terrorists. We are only reacting to the monsters they have created - just as they have been for over a thousand years.

First, there is not any such project as a warfare on Terror! If terrorism is an act of someone, no longer a u . s ., who's pissed at you it may look the finished project to do is to open a verbal replace. merely the different of what Bush did! i imagine attempting to make your enemy's your persons is a better effective attitude to wrestle terrorist, and a minimum of chatting with them to be certain why they are mad, facilitates better than attacking a u . s . that had no longer something to do with terrorism or 9/11. All we've done, besides the lost lives, both civilian and military, is to create better enemies. The Iraqi human beings were no longer our enemies in the previous we were given there, yet they particular at the on the spot are, and they have drawn a rigidity from different places that makes them much more suitable. we are able to in no way take down the middle east. The Romans tried and failed! we are no longer going to win this warfare, the Iraqi's are not any further going to position down. we've positioned them via too a lot. and prefer an previous commander I met reported: "And what the hell is terrorism, besides? that is not any longer a project; that is not any longer an area; that is not any longer someone. it truly is a political and military attitude, it truly is all. Having a 'warfare On Terrorism' is as ridiculous as having a 'warfare on Flanking Maneuvers'. you'll end terrorism even as there is not any longer something for anybody to get pissed off about." Col David Hackworth He reported this in the previous the warfare. it truly is as authentic in the present day because it changed into then! after we go away, what we would have left for the most area, are those who hate us! i'd do the same if someone got here round right here with their bombs, tanks, airplane and troops, and all started killing 60,000 plus of my own electorate. particular i choose Bush out, yet i do not choose him out undesirable sufficient to observe my human beings blown up on daily foundation for quite a lot 5 years! there have been no coaching camps Locutus! it truly is yet another figment of Bush's mind's eye and some human beings can not manage the truth, so the figure if the lie lengthy sufficient it turns into the truth! nicely it gained't! save spreading the lies. there have been no guns of Mass Destruction both! I guess you're between those who declare they went to Syria! it truly is yet another lie!

Accually the war on terror in itself has ben going on since mans ben alive. Recently as more acts of middle eastern regimes come to light it is frocing the western world to take a step back and look at itself and the impact it has on societ. I want to clarify to you that the targent in the aunt (00's) cenntry in contrast to that of the 40's-60's does not have a defined identity. In WWII we as a western culture was able to identify the terrorist it was a set or sole nations. Now that is diffrent and its a unique situation that mankind on thi massive scale has not seen in recent recorded history.
The general muslim culter that many people associate as the cultpret for the new war on terror in fact shares many parelle beliefs that western judeo-christianity does as well. Why is it that the extremest will burn down a chuch but leave the symbol of jesus on the cross fully unharmed? It is because it is believed that jesus and allah will walk togather on judgement day.
The enemy in this new war is a grey coulor do you remember the gulf war and during the time the generation fought and clawed its way to become a fundemental society? time and change is inevidable and the western world moves fast but as the west we dont see that because we are the movement. You are draging the heals of a toddler who still wants their values that they have known for so long and you are dragging him so fast that the idea of change is to great for them to understand and acept because they twenty years ago were the fundimentalist the basis for jihad.
I wish to make myself clear when I talk about jihad. The muslim extremist for lack of a better layman term take parts of the Koran and mold them to a justified cause. They believe this cause but what seldom do people understand is that right after jihad passages are passages of total ethical and moreal peace. "Thall shall take prisoners of regular war that which both sides are fighting. Thall shall feed him as you fed yourselves, cloth them as you would cloth yourselves, and if u shall set him to a hard task than u must help him also"-The Koran
So is a holy war inevidable? The war on terror does not create terrorist it is the results of change and the inablility to cope with that change that creates the terriorist and the terrorist inturn as a cry and a response to that react in violence and belief that americans believe in technology and not in god. When we begin to show our religious beliefs and live by them the change and the pace of it will change. We must show the terrorist that like them we have a single common god. Look to the younger generations of muslims and they want to become the west but the ruling fundimentalsits are all that we see because good news is not news. So is holy war inevidble the real question?

you're question is misleading.
why are you comparing an invasion by one nation into another to an internal revolution started by dissatisfied individuals? your comparison of the civil rights movement to "liberating iraq" is bizarre to say the least...
typically the theory is that the war on terror has created a place that opportunistic religious leaders can point to as evidence that the united states is evil. it also offers a training ground for angry fundamentalists. they get to go fight the u.s. army and learn how it works.
this war has been too hard on the iraqi people for me to make that sort of parallel...
ok, i tried to explain how your question is misleading. i don't know what you're confused about. how is a war between two countries, the same as an oppressed group in one country liberating itself? that is the issue... the kkk and the minorities would be the two warring groups: the minorities chose to persist in activism themselves. the iraqis were not rebelling against saddam when we invaded... we just assumed we were doing them a favor. does that make more sense? if we were really fighting side by side with iraqi civilians instead of blowing them up and not bothering to count the dead, then you might have a point...

If what you say is true. What should be done? I do not want to be Muslim. Does this mean I am to be killed so you can have peace?
By the way you take on the Klan is way off. Many more turned against the Klan in the south but the power of the Klan at that time stopped many from speaking out. The Klan was much more powerful in the 20s.

first off, the argument is flawed. you are comparing american ideologies that fought with each other against american ideologies that are fighting with foreign ideologies.
These foreign ideologies do, however, feel our presence, before Iraq was invaded, even, was holding them down in some way.
Look through the eyes of the population. You see daddy and mommy killed, or a husband or wife killed. Deaths due to a certain country's bombs. Then you have insurgents coming in from other countries recruting based on anger. "You hate the ones who did this? Join us and we will fight them together!"
Empassioned, what would you do? You don't know, and neither do I, because we are lucky enough to have never had that occur. But, filled with rage against those who came in without our asking, they join up with the 'resistance'. The 'resistance' is what we call 'terrorists'. Whether they are one or the other depends on your view point. I can see either label fitting perfectly.

The war on terror should continue, a greater part of it being done by the Muslims; but the illegal occupation of Iraq must come to an end. The unjustified presence of the US army in allover the Muslim world must also be looked into.
The occupation of Palestine must end. America must stop vetoing UN resolutions on Israel. Israel must respect UN resolutions regarding the mid east conflict.
Then we'll all live in peace!
