Can someone please factor this one for me -2x^2 + 4x Thanks a lot

Hi dear Daniel;

f(x) = -2x^2 + 4x
{ you can factor '-2' & 'x' }
so we have
f(x) = -2x ( x - 2)

-2x(x-2)

If you were solving it, it would be x=0 and -2x=4, x=-2. Since your question only said factor though, the first answer would be correct.

-2 (x^2+2x)

what are you people talking about? the x is squared, not the 2x
if the 2x was squared it would be -(2x)^2+4x

= -2x(x - 2)
