why can I NOT get on line?

I clicked on "hiburate" when signing off for the day. When trying to start next AM I get error mssg " cannot find boot floppy disc A"

Sounds like your computer wasn't waking up from hibernation when you got that message. It sounds like it was (unhappily) rebooting.
