Does anyone know...if the middle spinner part of a clothes washer won't work (machine turns on etc...just won't spin) what on the washer i might check to get it to work?? thanks...any suggestions would be appreiciated. thanks.

possibility of either the belt driving the drum broken < can you hear the motor trying to spin ?
or if no noise of motor maybe the brushes inside the motor itself although i have changed these myself i would reccomend a qualified guy if your unsure

If your machine will fill w/water and agitate during the wash cycle
pretty much everything but spin the I'm pretty sure the lid switch
has failed or not making a connection. Its a safety mechanism
that prevents it from going into the spin cycle when the lid is up.
IE..that little plunger thing you see on the lid. Try taking a pen and depressing where that cam goes in, if its clicking and goes into spin then your washer lid is warped or its just not making a good connection. Depending on the model some vary. It generally is less than 20.00 for a lid switch and the average woman can do it herself.The above average woman would know how to by pass it and keep on washing.

When that happened on mine, we took the back off and thre belt that had run almost everything had slipped off the wheels. That may or maynot be your problem

Throw it out and buy yourself a new one...Don't be so cheap!
