They most likely are. I don't see one, but if I did, I'd insist they be at least slightly less crazy than I am. But only slightly.

Psychiatrists have the highest rate of suicide in the USA .. followed next by Dentists. That's the truth. You never know if they are crazy .. you only know if it feels like a good fit for you or not. If not .. go on to another one. It's just like picking out anything else. You are not obligated to stay with one that you don't care for. Good Luck ! :)

Ironically, it's been statistically proven that a larger than half percentage of folks in the mental health profession enter said study because they are trying to understand their own neurosis. A close second is trying to understand the neurosis of a parent or other family member.
Fortunately, it isn't like we're trying to fix our mental states by comparing them to our doctor's. There are specific diagnosis, and treatments that do not require the treating doctor to be in perfect mental health, whatever THAT is...

They don't. In fact, many psychiatrists have their own problems, some of which are quite serious. In my area, one was recently charged with sexual misconduct with vulnerable patients.

all psychiatrist are crazy, the science is based on mumbo- jumbo silliness. Only pill popping Americans would put their trust in it.

psych docs need a bi-annual mental examination to retain their practice. Any insanity should be brought to the forefront then.
