What people fail to realize is that it was not Hezbollah who struck first. Israel has been oppressing the people of Lebanon and Palestine for years. Only now that Hezbollah came to the aid of Lebanon, is Israel being made to look like the "good guy". I don't agree with Hezbollah, but they were the only one's who weren't afraid to stand up to the Israeli army. You may say I support terrorists because of my answer, however, I have this for you: If you support Israel you are supporting terrorists. Read this website written by Jews and see why:

See who has used violence against civilians to promote a political agenda, which by the way, is the definition of terrorism.

No, not really. I don't know what has happened to Israel. They won a war against the entire Arab world in 6 days in 1967. They launched a commando raid from half a world away to free their hostages at EnTebbe. They used to be virtually unstoppable.
But yes, they were correct in going after Hezbollah. This terrorist group has been a cancer on the world going back to the murder of our US Marines in Lebanon in 1983. They need to be stopped. Their just should have been a better strategy.

The real question is what will it take to achieve peace in the region.
Most experts agree that there will have to be an independent Palestinian State formed out of areas including the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
And a cessation of hostilities by all parties.

They certaintly did not.
These idiots who keep backing up the Israeli stance need to go back and re-examine everything that happened and WHY it all started in the first place.
I think that if Hezbollah wiped out the Israeli rule, you'd have very litte to no trouble over there. It was generally a peaceful place until these people tried to come and take over the Palestinian land.

No.
The Israeli soldiers that were kidnapped should not have been in lebanon.
Israel has been looking for any excuse to go back to war with Lebanon since they left it a few years ago. They are evil terrorists. Israel is an evil evil country, why cant people in america see this? Despising Israel is not anti semitic either.
Israel is run by zionist pigs who want complete control of that region. They use the holocaust to keep you in line.

Yes. Hezbollah who are proxys of Iran with the stated purpose of destroying Israel was amassing rockets which Israel partly took out. Their only mistake was bowing to the pressure of the world, who are scared of the 1.5 billion muslums and their radcal sects, and not finshing the mission.

No...Now they are willing to negotiate...Well they could have done this in first place and a lot of innocent people wouldn't have died because Israel wanted to show its strength one more time...
Israel was not defending itself cos Hezbollah didn't attack it.

It was correct in the military operation, but it wasn't correct where it ended.
In my view, they had no right to end that war not only until they got their soldiers back, but until they rooted out all hezbo presence in Lebanon. They had to completely ignore the world opinion, and just do the job.
Unfortunately their Government is way too weak, and incompetent. I hope they change it soon.
So at the end not only they look bad for bombing Lebanon, but they also don't look like they won this stupid war.

Correctness is governed by "might makes right". However, if you are asking if it was legal, yes it was. Even the UN says this. If a country has its borders broken, its people killed, it has an obligation to respond. The type of response is not dictated by law.
Some argue Israels response was too strong, but this is not a legal point, it is just a matter of opinion.

Absolutely. If Canada or Mexico began unprovoked attacks and fired rockets into the US, we would certainly protect ourselves and retaliate. Why should Israel be any different? Hezbollah started with the rockets.
