Dark purple eyeshadow is really nice, especially the kind that has a bit of shimmer or iridescence. It really looks good with brown eyes.

Actually brown does! Something like a rusty brown or even with gold tones. It even compliments green eyes. Also I have a friend that has brown eyes and she actualyl does the black smokey look, since the black is darker than her eye color it makes her eyes really stand out. Even like a rose or chapagne color. For a really funky eye popper try lime green, hot pink, or an orange tangerine kinda shadow! silver will look good with every eye color and does navy. Also you can do royal blue for brown eyes, the contrast makes them pop.

Try lining your upper eyelids with a deep purple liner (almost brown), and feather or smudge it. Then apply deep purple eyeshadow at the corners of your eyelids. Blend well. Next use dark brown or black mascara. Hope this helps...

They general rule for eyeshadow is if the color looks good on you, it will look good on your eyes. Purple doesn't work for everyone, it depends on hair/skin color as well [I kno, I have really really dark brown eyes] it depends on what will stand out against your SKIN and complement your hair. Green works for me; just try whatever color of clothes looks good on you.
But eyelinerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! That really pops it out. And mascara, if you don't wear glasses.

A Bright green from crease to lid, then line the bottom of your eyes with the same green shadow, black mascara and individual lashes at the outer corner of your eyes. Highlight brow area with a cream/or white iridescent shadow

they say to apply a light lilac color to the lids, then brush on a brown on the crease of your lid then put a lighter color on the brow bone. Allmay has a eyeshadow set you can buy baised on the color of your eyes...it comes with the eyeshadow, mascarra and eye liner.

highlight the brow line with a shimmery pale yellow or white, use a nude shade for the rest of the lid and on the lash line, I'd sweep a black/brown smoky shadow starting with the outer lid.
some of the best shadows are Bedhead brand. YOu can get them at the salon and they cost a bit, but they don't wear off at all. I love 'em!!
