A more expensive foundation is not necessarily better for your skin. Don't be fooled by the hype.
I have no doubt that both will do the job, but for me, what matters is the colour and formulation, not the brand or price.
My skin is quite happy with L'oreal. Tried mum's Lancome products before and I found them too greasy for my skin. Lancome have nicer eye colours though.

They are not the same quality. Lancome is a better grade of makeup then the ones you may find in the pharmacy. Try going to Macy's and take the Free Clinique Facial. I found Clinique a little cheaper and much better. When I used their concealer the next day at work my friends told me that my face looked so relaxed and softer. A bottle of concealer is about $20.00. I bought one in March and I still have it. It last a while. They also have a lotion called Turnaround Concentrate that takes away pimples and spots from your face.
Try it and you will see the difference.

Yep L'Oreal do own Lancome and Redken and Matrix amongst other things.
There is a difference, major difference. Although L'Oreal owns Lancome it is a parent company not the same company so Lancome create and sell their own products under their own name.
Personally I prefer Lancome Maquimat.

Lancome is just the luxury product for L'oreal. Just like Sainsburys have the 'taste the difference' range. They are slightly better products. I wouldn't compromise on skin care products, as it is your skin in the end of the day and well looked after skin will stay looking better and younger for longer :-)

Is that really true?? I'm amazed if it is.. I have religiously used Lancome for many years now. You dont need to buy a separate powder with most. The one I use is fantastic... Def no powder required, it's 'Teint Idole Ultra' and it's worth every single penny. Coverage fantastic and lasts for ages...

i dont see any difference except the name.
I personally use lancome products like make-up, listick and perfume. I only use Loreal shampoo. It really depends which brand suit
your type of skin and taste of perfume.

I quite have extremely dry pores and skin and function continuously had hassle looking a beginning up that wont make my pores and skin all flaky and gross, i might advise loreal mineral powder, its somewhat expensive (around $40 5), yet lasts for a protracted time and that i hardly get pimples :)

Lancome uses lots of animal fats and by products. I don't know about L'oreal but I would go for L'oreal.
