I've used it. Yes it slowed my computer down and gave it virus's, to the point that my husband just bought a new tower from Best Buy. The salesman said since you don't pay for the music on Limewire, the songs can have virus's attached to them. Be careful.

Limewire is a file sharing network, when downloading the client itself they would give you a virus but anyone that wants to throw a virus on the server through th client is able to, you just have to be smart using file sharing if you don't know what your getting into (which most people have no idea) don't use it.

sometimes it does slow my computerd down so yes it does give u virus's at times but as long as you run a anti virus after it will keep your system running smoothly and you get the benefit of all the free music you downloaded.

I've never had a problem with it. My mother in law on the other hand can't use it because it slows her computer down. But I think its because her computer is a couple of years old and she needs to do some upgrades. But other than that, haven't had a problem yet.

yes. no. limewire never gave me any viruses. i like it. ive downloaded like maybe something close 2 100 songs by now. no problem. hope i could help!

I did when it first came out and DON'T!!! It opens your computer to TONS of viruses, sure it's free music, but its a pain in the long run.

I got it and use all the time. Just run the spy ware you have right now that you use for your internet, and your good to go. Just stay away from Kazza!!!!

i use it all the time.....and my computer is fine....i love it! i dowload music all the time, and it's fast and easy.....just make sure you download the basic and not the pro ....and you should be fine.....if you have any questions ....just ask me.

Itz not really tht good cuz u can download song or videos w/ virus and it can damage your computer bad thtz wut happen to mine
