I support orphanages and no it shouldn't be run by the Catholic Church alone. All non profit orginations should be involved. Money spent would be tax deductable. We can't ask the Gov't to help with problems like this. But if all those that can, would spend more time with the problems like this and others, I think everyone would benefit. And education and support is a key to success.

Under the concept of Separation of Church and State, neither the Catholic Church nor any other faith is "paid" to help single mothers and orphans. Help provided in many faith-based institutions is paid for by donations, and to anyone who needs it, regardless of their own faith or lack of it..
The Missionaries of Charity (Mother Teresa' nuns) run a free home for unwed mothers in Little Rock, Arkansas. Their policy is NOT TO ASK FOR DONATIONS. Their position, which has apparently worked, is that "God will provide".

I would support jail time and removal of children from any woman that has a child out of wedlock.I would also do away with uncontested divorce alimony and child support.
I think that would definitely reduce"unwanted pregnancies".
