The Germans and the rat are my favourite! Still show it here on british tv from time to time. The actual hotel from fawlty towers is open to stay in, Would be great trip for your folks! Although the real manager isn't up to Basil Fawlty's standard!

Yes of COURSE I do. It was an amazing programme. Very funny and very original. Written by John Cleese and his then wife Connie Booth who, incidently, also played the odd part in Monty Python ... particularly remembered in the Lumberjack sketch of course. :)

I also loved the sign outside which became something different every episode ... Fatty Owls was one I remember off the top of my head. And who can remember the Germans or Manuel's hamster? Classic. lol.

Yes, there is a statue of John Cleese in Torquay, where the show was set. Don't know if it's been put up yet or not but I heard about it on the radio the other day.

Yes I remember that show. I'm British, but I know people in the USA have seen that show. John Cleese is hilarious. I like the movies he's been in lately too.

I loved it too. There are many British shows that I have found to be funnier than the American ones.
