Do you ever talk to youself while alone...like let's say you;re alone in your bedroom, do you ever start talking about random things? And discussing them with yourself?

If no one does that, is that an abnormality that has to be fixed by a phychologist?

I talk to myself all the time, out loud and silently. I don't think it's abnormal. It's just another way of processing information. Now, if this little habit gets in the way of living a normal life, then yeah, see a psychologist. But if it doesn't bother you, then don't worry about it.

Anyone who doesn't admit talking to the selves is an abnormality.
I recently heard Paul Harvey discussing this on his radio show,
he spoke a recent study done at a major univ. that concluded that
the vast majority converses w/them self. Also stating that it was
a good mental exercise and aided greatly in organizing ones thoughts.

I don't think it's an abnormality that needs to be fixed I think everyone in their lifetime has done that a couple of times or even more I do it all the time. But I mean if you were to see someone doing it you might think they are crazy but put yourself in their shoes you know you do it also

I do talk to myself sometimes, when I am alone. Mostly when nobody is around.

It is quite normal I guess, and also good - if you do it sometimes, its good to debate. Anyways, if you think that you are talking too much to yourself then better get appointment with phychologist

All the time when I'm alone. I don't think it's an abnormality. Talking to yourself can be a good way to perfect your speech and how you say things to other people.

It's funny how when peopel see other talking to themselves, they figure they're crazy.

I do sometimes. I think its normal. Its a good way to work things out when alone. Sometimes I don't even discuss, I just make quick comments to myself.

i talk to myself a lot, usually when i'm doing homework or essays or something like that, helps me think. usually i talk at myself - not to myself - and bounce ideas of myself, then there are other times when i tell myself all the problems i have with everybody and society and other stuff, it really calms me down and stops everything from annoying me....
actually thinking about it now i do it A LOT in class when answering questions, i must look like a right psyco!!!

I do, and I can tell you why, I think.

It's a way of making things clear to yourself - your beliefs, etc. It's also a good way to practice making yourself understood and using the correct words and phrasing when explaining to others.

I think the biggest reason though is that it gives you self-confidence.

Yes and I do it a lot the older I get. Somehow, thinking out loud seems to help me. No, it is not abnormal. Relax.
