Can anyone believe that people actually live in such filth and squaller!Just watched how clean is your house and like so many other shows i've seen are these homes just set up for the cameras, although I love the results but it was just a thought set up or not what do you think?

Yes it is unbelievable that people can live in such disgisting places, but I think that it is all real, when they go into the houses and they find everything covered in years of dust, i think you can just tell its real. All the grime on the windows and the grease and everything, I cant see them constructing all that. It would take too much time and money.
I think that the people who live in these homes sometimes dont realise how disgusting it actually is because they live with it on a day to day basis and it has all accumilated over the years. I love watching it its great when everything is cleaned, plus it makes me go on a cleaning mission, even if the house is already clean!

Really clean at the moment, but by tomorrow evening it'll look like a bomb hit it, and the whole thing starts again! My house often looks like the horrible ones in How Clean Is Your House, half an hour with muddy kids and dog running around will do it! But it's an easy house to clean, and only takes about an hour to do a big clean!

I believe that these houses are real. i have actually been in a house similar to the ones on the show. I was invited to sit down and I just perched on the edge of the sofa. There were a dozen dirty nappies stacked in front of the gas fire which was on, so you can imagine the stench, there were cobwebs that thick you could tie them in a knot.the dust was brown on the tops of the curtain poles, there was piles of washing everywhere, the floors (the bits you could see) were sticky. The three kids were filthy, as was the parents. I was offered a drink but said I was OK in fear of my health!! i actually considered phoning the show and nominating them!!

My house can often look like a bomb has hit it but I always make sure the loo ,work tops,sink ,kitchen floor and cooker are clean the rest gets done somedays but I dont worry about a few bits hanging around.I think some people go over the top and make visitors uncomfortable.

My house is not a show home by any stretch of the imagination but it does get cleaned, however as a student nurse I was taken to homes in central London that you would not want to spend any time in....some people just don't have the skills or understanding to keep thier homes clean.......others are just lazy.

Why is cleaning such an issue? Don't people have better things to do than cleaning? Clean is one thing, obsessiveness is another. There is more to life than cleaning. Reading is one good alternative.

No there are people who live in worse conditions than what is shown of TV. My uncles used to do remodeling and they have told me of some houses where the kitchen floor had chicken bones stuck on it. Another where the people had thrown their garbage down the basement stairs and not picked it up.

My house is extremely clean. I hate mess and cluster!! I really think that some people don't care how they live and some are just plain nasty. I think the houses on that show are really like that. I just don't see how anyone could go on TV and show that they live that way.

My house is clean but I have been in homes that look like the ones on tv. There was an elderly woman who was friends with my nana who saved everything... and I do mean everything (empty soda bottles, the upcs to everything she ever bought) it was actually kind of scary.

They have cleaned some pretty raunchy houses. I don't know if it's fake or not. I could never live like those people though. I would develop a new kind of plague or something.
