If you read the side effect information on what comes with your pills it usually says the likelihood of this. Some pills are more likely to cause weight gain so if you are uncomfortable with the weight gain and know it didn't come from anything else (change in eating, new stresses) you can do some research on your own and then ask your doctor about other types that don't cause weight gain. I am guessing some of the newer types that don't have such a high hormone dose may not cause weight gain.

It all depends on the person. Most people do gain weight the longer they are on the pill, but it all depends on the person. Just keep active and watch what you eat and you should be fine. If you put in your mind that you will gain weight then you will, so just stay positive.

i don't use the pill..but the friends i have that do, have said how it makes them gain weight, and break out. i'd get off of it (after talking to your dr)...and have a non regulated period.

one of the side effects of pills is: increase of apetite.
this means that you get hungry more often, if you eat everytime you get apetite, then you will gain weight. so the pill doesn't make you gain weight you do, when you eat, so eat small meals and excersice.
