Is it just sadness...or true depression? People nowadays take the word depression very lightly. If it's a prolonged sadness that causes insomnia- sleeping during daytime...no motivation to do sports or going outdoors...then proper medication is necessary prescribed by a professional. It's an illness...that needs curing like a bacterial infection needs antibiotics... the use of the right medication for true depression is crucial.

pray and ask Jesus to help you, take a long walk, do volunteer work, go shopping, go to a movie, get a massage,

there are lots of things you can do to make yourself feel better other than eating depression meds all day.
