look into an alabama tourist guide book. Depending on loation, there should be a section for historical sites that will have links for research and more info. Also try looking up Moundville which is located near Tuscaloosa. It will be very useful for the Indian History.

I wonder if it's true. I heard a story once about a tribe of Indians that lived in Alabama. The story goes they were wiped out by the Spanish.

Something about finding a Spanish Solder buried there with an arrow which had pierced through both the breast plate and back plate of his armor. That would be interesting.

Then there's the civil war ship the "Alabama" it was a commerce raider and the Yankees thought it was a ghost ship because would appear out of no where to sink Yankee shipping. It was sank within sight of land off the French coast.
