How about an amendment that states that no other amendment shall be made which serves to weaken human rights, reduce liberty or caudify inequality.
Similarly, how about a consitutional amendment defining marriage as a civil union between any two people committed to a mutually loving, lifelong partnership. I don't understand how marriage could be defined as anything else unless you're basing your definition on religious dogma, which is an inappropriate basis for law in this country.
Or an amendment that states that any US President that uses the American military forces for a self-serving agenda which defies both American law and international treaty should be condemned as a traitor and either held forever in military prison or turned over to the International Criminal Court for prosecution.

That the US Government, state and local governments, and their agencies must abide by the same rules that they make for the people and corporations in the country.
Imagine if the feds had to use the same accounting practices that private companies have to? Audits would be required every year. No more fudging the numbers for political purposes. What if congressmembers had to depend on Social Security instead of their own private retirement system?
