i want to purchase some sea horses for myself and want to know were to start looking as my local pet stores dont have any, and im wanting to know the best way to keep them

You should try a store that specializes in saltwater aquatic life or an exotic pet store. Buyer beware for on-line purchases of any saltwater life. When fish are shipped they are bagged with a powder substance called finquil (I believe that's how it is spelled). This substance is used like anesthesia to help keep the stress of travel to a minimum. But if the person shipping the fish doesn't know the proper dosage then he/she could kill the fish. And some suppliers do not guarantee the purchase.

Go to a tropical fish store. Regular pet stores like Petco won't carry them.

You'll have to go to a FISH store that sells salt water fish. Not just a pet store. Hard to say without knowing where you live.

Seahorses are salt water fish and very, very diffucult to care for. You will not find seahorses at a chain pet store. You most likely will have to find a salt water enthusiast shop.

actually, seahorses are endangered. some states or countries prohibit anyone from making them a pet.
