I had these shots for arthritic inflammation but supposedly the pain I still have is caused by bone spurs

I've had synvisc shots in the knees too (but for floating knee-caps) Man, did they hurt going in!

Sinvisc is made to increase the lubrication and cushion in your joints, for some people, it makes the pain totally go away, for others (like me) it just lessens the pain.

I'd imagine for bone spurs it could help reduce the pain, but may not completely get rid of it. Sorry your living with knee pain - you have my empathy.

Try looking up Knee1, on the internet BTW, they have a pretty good forum, and resources of information for knee problems.
