What do you think Bush's position on global warming would be if oil companies weren't trying to deny it exists?

I'm not 100% sure I believe everything that is thrown out there regarding global warming. Here is an interesting article written by Prof Bob Carter is a geologist at James Cook University, Queensland, engaged in paleoclimate research and signed by a slew of other people.

These people claimed that the data that Al Gore and scientists use do not support the claim they are making and this is strictly a political move. The article can be found at http://www.policestateplanning.com/globalwarming1998.htm

Please read this article and formulate your own opinion. There maybe some truth to what they are saying and also what others are saying. There is not enough debate on this topic and very little facts and everyone has their own opinion. The doom and gloom press only wants to print the bad stuff. The current hurricane season was supposed to be a disaster, so far it has been a flop. So much for that theory.

Moral of the story - Before you jump on the bandwagon, please know both sides of the argument.

You would need to start by showing all these "bigger" hurricanes. Pretty tough after the quiet storm season this year. If global warming exists, it is only part of the natural ebb and flow of the earth's climate. All you need to do is even look past the last 30 years. There have been now 4 separate cooling and warming hypes in just the past 110 years. Global warming is a crock.

Oh that's right, I forgot that the when the Republicans are in office the White house has a switch that turns hurricanes on and off and since mid term elections are occurring they turn the switch to low. And of course no global warming or hurricanes occurred during the Democrats tenure in office either because they couldn't work the switch?

i'm undecided if Obama will ever understand. worldwide warming isn't inflicting hurricanes, the oceans have organic oscillations. So while the oceans are in a warming cycle, we will have extra and better hurricanes. while the oceans are in a cooling cycle, we will have fewer and weaker hurricanes. it somewhat is a organic technique, not worldwide warming.

That would be the repulicans new election campaign. they would let the terrorism go - which they are doing absolutely nothing about, and pick up the global warming campaign - which they can't do anything about!

Did we have like 2 hurricanes this year? Hardly seems like a critical issue to me. It sucks for the left that nature did not cooperate with their propaganda this year.
