Ignorance is bliss

It's easier to live with blinders on. The goal of everyone should be to try and expand their knowledge and view of the world. That would make things better, in my opinion.

But you have to realize there are people who don't have the ability to see everything. They will see things as if the blinders are on, even when they are taken off.

Well, I'm neither democrat nor liberal, but I'll answer anyway.

Information gives you options. Without having knowledge and information, people cannot make intelligent choices. So, willful blindness and and refusal to learn about the world are never an advantage. Truth is the only way to live.

I would rather know the truth than live with a lie.
I quite honestly dont know what I would do if i were a conservative, Ive thought about this many times and I just could never see being that ignorant, trusting and misinformed.
I just couldnt fathom being someone like that, it goes against ever fiber of my being to be a conservative. My parents were both republicans, I went to a christian southern baptist church and private school, by all accounts I should be a conservative. I just never have thought that way. I would never be able to live that way

I wouldn't know, why don't you ask a religious nut job that has had his blinders on since birth.

Sometimes I wish I could see the world through the rose colored glasses that most conservatives do, but that isn't true life. I wish I could see the Emperor's clothes and be happy, but he is naked and I feel I should point that out.

Play up your assets, downplay your faults. Expose your opponent's failings, justify your own. Politics 101.

at times we all wish for ignorance but to be honest if one cannot handle the truth then go ahead and try to push the knowledge from your head, but if one wishes to be trully great one must see every angle, and accept it.

I would rather see everything for what it is, then I could base my life decisions on what I now knew.
