To show others our emotions and what we see in this world.I draw to make my grandkids happy or to make something I need. I like to make greeting cards that are my own drawing and words because it is much more personal.I just started really drawing my own designs a couple of years ago (age52)and it makes me very happy. Now if I could only do something with them and get paid for it I would be extremely happy!

I am an artist because I was born to be one. I don't remember a time when I didn't have the urgency to create art. I guess you might say, my passion and ability is God given. No one taught me how to do my art. It comes naturally. I am a show off as well and I love to show my work in juried art exhibits. I love it when I receive Best In Show. The best overall feeling comes when someone presses money into my hand for my work.

I love the challenge of it and I like it that what I create is one of a kind. In this big world with its many people, there is only one of everything that I paint. Every work of art is unique unto itself.

Art encapsulates the essence of a feeling or a moment.
This is the first thing that came into my mind when I read this question.
