Do you carve it or paint a face on it?

I buy two every year. One I use in my classroom for science skills, then I carve it and we enjoy it until Oct 31 when I raffle it off for good behavior. We also toast the seeds and eat them.
The other I take home and we decide as a family what is hould look like. we usually end up carving it. Again, we roast and eat the seeds. The seeds are my kids favorite part!

Yes I buy pumpkins ... I use the Carving kits and do trick pumpkins.
I also have a pumpkin carving party. It's so fun.

normally i do not like buying pumpkins, but since my sons birthday is on the 28th this time i am thinking about buying pumpkins and having the kids that come to the party carve things ( in order to keep them entertained)

i like taking the time out to carve a pumpkin for the kids to see when they go trick or treating. I like the challenge of a complicated pattern.

I love to buy pumpkins and goards in all shapes and sizes. We carve a few, but mostly just put them out whole to decorate. I was thinking of using the glow-in-the dark paint for our younger kids to use this year. I love the creative things people come up with!

Yes absolutely, we always buy one per family member and carve really cool designs that we get from craft books, the whole neighborhood enjoys them...it's a great tradition, not to mention baking the seeds...yummy

I barely started buying a pumpkin last year and plan to this year as well. My boyfriend and I carve it as best we can.
It's our new little tradition now that we have our own little family.
