Has anyone ever had womenly problems that makes your vaginal odor yucky down there? And even after you cured it (infection) you still had bad odor?I have used medication for both yeast and bacterial vaginosis several times. And well It's been very embarassing for me becuase people think i dont take care of myself and, needless 2 say talk about me behind my back. I am a very clean girl and always take showers (everyday). I am just so overwhelmed by this, because it affects my life. I have even thought that I might have cancer in my reproductive system as i've heard that sometimes it starts smelling bad. I still very yong and in my teens, so I don't know if that is possible. So my question to you is have you ever dealt with this and did you ever smell like your "old" self again?
p.s. This is a serious question, and if you're gonna give me some idiotic answer you can go to hell.

Yes went to the gyn, got diffrent opinions. They all seem to think there is nothing wrong. By the way they're the ones that gave me yeast/b.v medication.

I agree, it may be hormones. Considering I just had a child 2 months ago.

i used to have bad odor like that when i was a teen.....but now that I am in my 20's it seems to have gone away. When i was a teen i could smell the odor even outside my clothing. It lead me to spray alot of perfume down there, and that only made people notice even more. I think it mostly has to do with a high level of hormones. Have you tried using an FDS (feminine deodorant spray) extra strength? If that doesn't work I would consider going to the doctor and explaining what's going on and how bad it makes you feel. If it is hormones, there could be a serious imbalance...you really should get it checked out....Good Luck!

If it is as bad as you say it is and is something that people around you actually notice it the only thing I can recommend is to get to a doctor. A slight odor is normal but a bad odor that can be detected by others is not.
Also do some research on effects of diets on odor. Since you have used other medications have you actually been diagnosed with anything? The only thing I can suggest is to cut back on sugar (it feeds the bad bacteria that causes yeast infections) and get yourself so Pro-Biotic (acidophilus) supplements. This helps to replace good bacteria, which will fight off any bad bacteria you may have that may be causing an odor.
If you are young find someone you trust to talk to about this.

I would think it's hormonal. I had itching, odor, and burning sensation off and on for several months immediately after having my baby. After I was prescribed several antibiotics and yeast medications, and being accused by my husband of contracting an std (meaning I must of had and affair). I tried everything I'm about to tell you about, so I don't know exactly what helped. My doctor did suggest cotton undies, washing with baking soda and washing less often, which I did. I do tend to get carried away with washing, and doctor told me I was washing away the good bacteria, giving way for the bad bacteria to overgrow. What I also found helpful was eating yogurt every morning, because it is packed with good bacteria that your body needs. Lastly, you might want to stay away from certain foods, like broccoli, onion, garlic, asparagus and spices that will make your body odor stronger. It doesn't hurt to try different things, as long as it's not dangerous to your health. Hope you find what works for you.

Go to your gynecologist and describe to her what is going on, if it's not medical, try some different soaps, maybe what you are using is having a PH reaction that is contributing to the smell. They do make deodorant for down south to, not sure if they work, I have never had this problem. Do you notice the smell is stronger at certain times of the month, during ovulation or pre/post your period? Start with the doctor and if she can't find anything wrong hit the feminine care aisle of your drugstore. And I would seriously consider shaving completely down there too.

I know you said you had seen the doctor, but maybe you should see him or her again.
You said you had a baby two months ago. This concerns me. If you had an episiotomy or tear, that could be infected. If you had a c/s, your incision can be infected, or your entire uterus can get infected. You could have some retained placenta in the uterus, which can be really serious. It's not likely after two months, but hey anything's possible. You could have a medical sponge in there too. Doesn't happen often, but unfortunately it does happen.
Go back to the doctor. And when you go, don't shower that morning. I know, seems gross, but if you want your doc to understand this smell, you shouldn't go in freshly bathed. And trust me, tons of people go the doctor that havne't bathed in days.

Every woman has a different scent. Some are stronger than others. Have you talked to your doctor about this? If you have done everything you could do about it, then just be happy with how you smell. I had a friend like this and we talked to her about it. she cried but everything was out in the open. like you she tried different things and her odor would not go away. It's something that you have to deal with. Try to "air" yourself out as much as possible. Don't try to mask the smell because it can only lead to health problems. Just be happy with who you are....*wink* you are just trying to attract that perfect someone.

Acidopholous aka live cultures, is in yogurt and comes in pills and other forms. I had chronic bv and I used some of that and it hasn't come back since. I got it a health food store. Ask your dr if that's an option. It's natural so it should be ok if your breast feeding but I'm not 100% on that.

I don't know honey. I am guessing you have gone to the dr for this? Have you had a pap? Have they checked for cervical cancer? And other cancers?
Smelling a little down there is normal, but always smelling down there isn't.
The only advice i can tell you is to go to the Dr again and tell them your problem!

Try cotton panties. your body needs air, if you keep everything wrapped up in a bunch of synthetic garbage it means your body can't breathe. natural fibers are best for a woman's body. That doesn't mean you have to go with unattractive unders just shop around and pay attention the fabric content. It may help.
