When you are typing a paper, do you put two space between periods, or just one?

i was always taught to put two spaces after the end of any sentence.

I always put 1 space but never 2

2 spaces is the general standard.

i don't think there is a "RULE" but many people prefer two spaces after a period. it makes it easier to read. some teachers may require it. in general it's a good idea. i hope that helps.

I've only ever put one but I usually type in 12 point font size with doublespacing set to make it easier for the tutor to skim read and make their annotations during marking.

It depends on the teacher usually; however, conventionally two spaces are considered standard in writing.

better to have one space if u r using a font size of 12..........it looks decent and also official us style
