Why? For giving the media something to write about? What exactly would you kick him out for? He's broken no league policies (and team rules are specific to that team), has had NO on off-the-field issues, and other than being a big mouth and a prima dona (most of the starting receivers in the league), is one of the top 5 receivers in the NFL, and has a real shot at the Hall of Fame is he stays healthy. Don't believe it ask his peers... the media decides someone is guilty and they are tried in the court of public opinion - just look at Allen Iverson... Stop the hate people...

no not at all .i think if the media would leave him alone he would be fine. Steve smith w/r of the panthers had a ham string injury in the pre season and didn't play but that wasn"t all over the news like T.O.we all know that he has issues. let him get help. if he did try to kill himself kicking him out of football is not the answer he is a great athlete and playing ball will help him

He is a great football player. What he needs right now is help. I'm hoping the Cowboys will put him on paid leave and help him get professional help maybe in a treatment center, then allow him to come back and play.

No, I don't think he should be kicked out of football. The guy already gets ENOUGH publicity as it is, I highly doubt he did it for the publicity.

No. And this was not a suicide attempt. I don't think this is a man who in any way suffers from low self esteem!

Kicked out? No. He made a mistake. If he is that depressed he should not play football anymore and quit.

I say suspend him for substance abuse...maybe he will think twice before pulling stunts like this...I highly doubt that someone who brings the amount of attention upon himself as TO does to himself has the right to call himself depressed...

Maybe.
Could have been steroid abuse is to blame for his actions.
"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Too much testosterone can kill brain cells, researchers said on Tuesday in a finding that may help explain why steroid abuse can cause behavior changes like aggressiveness and suicidal tendencies." (from link)
