Why do some morons come on here and try and justify having a pet rotteweiler as a family pet and then declare it is safe for their children to play around. They truly are the most stupid ill judged cretins and probably after two awful incidents with these dogs in the last week kid themselves on that they are right. I would guess if two incidents happened like this in the last week then roughly 100 innocent children get mauled per year in this country by devil dogs. These dogs are bred to fight they are not pets. Anyway if you own one of these beasts pray it does not attack children, because i would pray that you get it back in kind through karma. Rant over.

Well said. I used to take my daughter out for walks in the forrest nearby, but I'm afraid to now that I saw a lady walking her two rottweilers there. One of them grunted menacingly as we passed. Why should I be prevented from going there because of this lady's taste in pets?

Firstly - the people that come on and defend owning one of these are not morons - they at least have the intelligence to know the capabilities of these animals and are fully responsible for them - the morons are the people who have these pets and turned them into vicious beasts and cannot truly defend there own actions.
Secondly - dogs are not now bred for fighting that may have been the original purpose but it is there training and owner purpose that determines what type of dog they turn out to be most are now bred for cosmetic purposes.
I would rather trust my child with a well conditioned - well trained and protective dog than I would most humans.

In the first place, having lion as a pet is a very big responsibility. One should be aware of its
danger. I strongly believe lions belong in their own home, the zoo.
Why risk the danger when you are aware of the problems that would come?

Why does a mentally retarded 14 year old have access to your animals? 1. If it's happened before, then take measures to better protect the animals. 2. Contact and complain to the parents. 3. Call the police.

You seem to have quite a negative opinion of dogs that are purposely bred to be violent. Why blame them, (just because they are smarter than most of their owners).
"But its so cute and cuddly. We've had it since it was a puppy. It was so cute. It likes to lick my face. It is very happy to see me when I get home. It has never misbehaved, ...well, that much.
You just don't know our dog. It's not like the other dogs that bite people. I would know if it was, cause I'm smart. Sure it wants to attack anything it doesn't like, but I would know if it was dangerr.....OH MY GOD!!! PUT THE BABY DOWN!!!"

This is a generalization, just like your statement: My daughter had a Rottweiler bitc* who was a gentle sweetheart. My grandson, then ten, attended the delivery of her thirteen puppies. She seemed to welcome his presence. For him it was a thrilling experience, and it broke his heart when she died of cancer two years later. Not all dogs are vicious. It depends on how they are trained, and their owners.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Bet there's loads more that don't make it into the papers. And that poor man-the first baby's grandad-who also saw his girlfriend stabbed to death. People can be such ba*ds.
