i would try to find it there, then do a little research on where it is supposed to be placed (probably shown in the error message)... place the dll(s) there, and you should be good to go.

that's going to vary on what dynamic link library file is missing. if it's an operating system DLL, you can pop in your installation disk and run a repair to copy the missing files to your current windows installation. if you're using windows XP, you can try a system restore. if you're missing a DLL from a program, you can do a google search for this DLL and it is possible to download these and place them back where they should go. Probably a better choice would be to uninstall the program that's missing the file and reinstall it.

What's the error message?
It could be a number of things but most likely a registry problem, a clash of incompatible dll files or a combination of both.
Have you recently installed addtional software or visited Windows Update?
Without the error message we can't offer specific help just generalities.
