The so-called 'findings' about genetic predisposition to various perversions such as homosexuality, bestiality, homocide, etc., etc. are just myths cooked up to empower libs who want more 'research' money.
Sexual orientation, like homicide, theft, brushing the teeth, wearing a pull-over shirt in favor of a button-up one, is a choice.
Those who claim genetic disposition to anything like that are not thinking with their brains....

The claim made about fifteen years ago, that a gay gene had been discovered, was discredited.
The findings of the scientist who made the claims, could not be repeated by other researchers, and it seems that the claim was made from a non-objective position as the original scientist turned out to be gay.
So the answer is no. However, because the rebuttal of the claim received a lot less publicity than the original story, many people still believe that homosexuality has been proven to be genetic.

There is news of a new study that is working on this. Already studies have found that identitical twins are often both gay or both straight - whereas there is no correlation between the sexual orientation of a fraternal pair of twins. This suggests a genetic disposition, rather than an environmental one.
Another researcher has just published results of gene therapy on fruit flies - he was able to make the male and female flies switch their gender role in mating by altering one gene.
So there is growing evidence for the genetic disposition.
In any case, all the research agrees on one thing - sexual orientation is fixed from an early (pre-pubescent) age, and thereafter cannot be changed.

Amazing how you compare homosexuality to homicidal mania (which is only a movie term), beastiality and thievery.
Ironic, since murderers, thieves, rapists and other criminals are still allowed to legally MARRY, but gays and lesbians cannot.
Also ironic about your comparision is that all those listed, besides homosexuality, ALL CREATE VICTIMS!
EXCEPT HOMOSEXUALITY~
There's no victim in two, concending, adult, human beings having sexual relations with each other.
No, homicide is NOT a learned behavior. There are no night schools or correspondence cources in beastiality or rape. You don't get an apprentiship to murder. It's NOT a learned behavior.
Try a basic psych class at your local community college, anyone can take courses there, you don't even have to have a brain!

No it hasn't been found. Yet.
Wouldn't it be great if all the question answerers had to say whether they'd actually done research in the area, read research on the topic, actually knew what a gene was, or were just repeating what their damn-fool preacher told them?

i havent been brainwashed into being gay. as for a gene, for as long as i know i have been attracted to the same sex, and that means either it's genetic, or else something happened to my brain while my mother was carrying me to make me like women.
society actually tries to brainwash us into being str8 and it doesnt succeed.
@ passing down genes, genes do not always show, they can skip generations.
@genome project not revealing a gay gene: if we all had the gene, they might want to hush it up.
lastly, this lesbian has had her hormones tested several times in her life, and they have always found my hormones to be normal for a female. bang goes the hormone theory, lol.

Completely myth.
Lots of genes have been found, including that your DNA probably has literal dozens of preprogramed cancers just waiting for a hormonal switch to turn them on. While most of the animal kingdom has an enormous amount of behavior preprogrammed (most birds, for instance, don't need to learn to chirp or sing), humans have very little--most of that was erased shortly after birth, like knowing to suck when something like a mother's nipple is at the lips.
Think about it, if it was a gene and that gene, like hair color for instance, were dominant in this person or that, then it would be a terminal gene--males mating males or females mating females do not reproduce.

no gene found, no evidence it's genetic. i think it's mainly down to how you develop emotionally, socially....there's a psychology behind it and you can't change a gay person but that doesn't mean they're born that way. it's ingrained in them though. and as someone already said, the concept of a gay gene is illogical, as how would it have been passed down for so long?

the gene has not been isolated yet. However studies have indicated that it IS genetic. I am not sure if there is a HomoPHOBIA gene, that would be interesting to find out.

If there was a gay gene it would be passed down. Gay people (usually) don't have children. It is just about impossible that the same genetic mutation occurs more than once, let along hundreds of thousands of times.
