How can you stop someone from sending you text messages?

Text message is great if people don't use it to annoy people, but my friends are using it to annoy other friends. I can't take it anymore. I get messages in the middle of the nights, early in the morning and when I'm working. I would like to turn off my phone so I dont' get destracted but I don't want to miss important calls.

text them back and tell them to stop your life is moving and cant stop for rude interuptions that can wait untill they call you.

tell them the truth they are your friends right.??
they should understand if not oh well they were not worth the five cents of text messg.

put it on silent then!!!!!!!! That way it is still on, but you wont have to hear it and get caught. Then when you feel like looking to see what the word is on the phone issue, then you look, and as for the text messages, you do not have to answer them every time. Trust me I know what you are talking about cause I go through the same thing.

Text the word stop to their numbers and it will block them.

go talk to them and tell them to cut it out or better change your phone number... that'll do... i know, there is noooo other way to stop this annoying calls... ppl can be so mean sometimes...!!
