His recent statements and actions show he is still a racist and a liar. These are qualities to avoid in a politician. The fact that he was a darling of the Republican Party speaks volumes.

The only think I can think of, is getting their candidate into power. For some reason the Democratic party will not face an opposing candidate on issues.

The response I've heard from a number of democratic candidates are we have a plan, and if you vote for us, we will implement this plan, and save the world.

That turns me off, because it smacks of elitism. In other words, we know what is best for you, but we can't tell you, because you won't understand the full impact of what our plan is. You just have to trust us. (I've heard that statement from the last guy that tried to sell me a used car, and didn't want me to take it to my shop and have my mechanic look at it.)

Our awareness of the problems with Allen 'began in August when the press widely reported that he had used the word "macaca" in referring to a Webb campaign volunteer of Indian descent.'

'The word denotes a genus of monkeys and in some cultures is considered an ethnic slur. Allen insisted he did not know that and had simply 'made up' the word. He 'quickly apologized' for the gaffe.'

'Then Dr. Ken Shelton, a radiologist who played football with Allen at the University of Virginia in the early 1970s, said Allen frequently used a racial slur to refer to black people, but only around white teammates. '

'Shelton also alleged that Allen once stuffed the severed head of a deer into a black household's oversized mailbox during a hunting trip in Louisa County, Va.'

'On the heels of Shelton's charges, noted political scientist Larry Sabato – a college classmate of Allen – said in a televised interview that Allen used the "n-word" in referring to black people.'

'And Christopher Taylor, an anthropologist at the University of Alabama – and a Democrat – said that during a visit to Allen's Charlottesville house in 1982, Allen pointed to turtles in a pond on his property and said only "the [n-words] eat them."'

Yes, we only have all these peoples word for it, but gosh it sure seems to crop up a lot doesn't it? Btw, the word is 'heresay', not 'hear say', 'classmate' not 'class mate', and lastly 'klansman' not 'klans man'. I usually don't care about such blatant disregard for things like spelling and usage, but you're such a d!ck anyway I couldn't resist.

Typical smear campaign. Democrats are masters at this. The party of fairness and compassion always resorts to mud slinging, gutter politics when it looks like they might lose. And of course the "out of the mainstream" liberal media always goes along with them.

The democrats have a problem bigger than George Allen.

Its called Southern Democrats.

And, I don' t mean to say its because they're racist, I mean to say the libs are alienating the Southern Democrats.

Sorry if I gave the wrong impression earlier.

I don't even know where to begin on this one.

I'm going to take the high road and just answer that you don't use a racial slur in public.

Regardless of the racial slurs. The guy's got issues. I for one am tired of Republicans slurring veterans as cowardly, when they won't fight, themselves.
