Where do all the balloons go when children release them?

I just wanted to get some fun answers, My children love to watch them fly away. How high to do you think they go before they pop?

The balloons go up to the sun, then the heat makes them burst, then they go to balloon heaven where they don't have to have strings anymore and clowns make balloon children for them to tote around the carnival.

The russian space station! Nah, probably only as high as an airplane or so. They couldn't possibly get too high, or the atmospheric pressure would pop them! That's why they have to pressurize the cabin in a plane, so it doesn't burst!
