I've found that people with either something to hide or a guilty conscience get real bent out of shape. The former president did just that. Perhaps if he had been more concerned with terrorism instead of getting nookie off Monica, 911 may have been prevented.

Clinton showed his true colors in that interview. As usual he did his best but Bush had 8 months to chase Bin Ladin why didn't he get him. The usual being it was all Bush's fault line that the democrats come up with. Bill Clinton was president for 8 years and to hear him tell it he almost had Bin Ladin a bunch of times but couldn't quite get him. Bill Clinton's brain resides in his pants and he just doesn't get that he should have been going after the terrorists with more than a couple of rockets that his an aspirin factory. The man is gone and hopefully we will be smart enough to elect another Republican in 08 otherwise I am sure the terrorists will strike again.

Its about time someone put Faux News in its place. Bull s*** propaganda machines like it need to be called out whenever possible.

As far as what he said, its true. Throughout his presidency, Clinton did what he could, within resonable limits, to protect us from the terrorists. We didn't have an international mandate to send our armies into Afghanistan/Pakistan. If Clinton had tried that there would be no chance the (Republican) Congress would have let him; he couldn't even make a retaliatory strike without the Republicans claiming he was playing "wag the dog".

Meanwhile, when Bush took office, Bush took more vacation than any president before him, the committee Cheney was supposed to chair on terrorism never met, and the plan (or "series of actionable items" if you prefer) to combat terrorism was ignored.

I say, you be the judge of whether Clinton told the truth.

And as far as the whole Monica Lewinski thing goes, I have two points to make:

1) The only reason he had to deal with that to the near exclusion of everything else was that the Republican controlled Congress blew the issue way out of proportion.

2) I would rather have a president that lies about getting a ******** than a president that lies about national intelligence and winds up getting nearly 3000 American soldiers and hundreds of thousands of innocents killed.

I think Wallace was about distracting the public from the issues around the Iraq war by questioning Clinton abut Bin Laden. Republicans are really questioning the Bush administration about this war and why they STOPPED looking for Bin Laden. Fox news thought they had a major opportunity to put the blame on Clinton and they blew it. The Bush administration had 8 mos before 911 to get Osama and didn't and chose NOT TO act on intelligence . When will Fox deal with those questions? Clinton was correct to go on the offense and show us that HE IS NOT the one responsible for 911. I hope that everyone noticed that Clinton didn't blame Bush and recognized Wallace question for its legitimacy.

I wish Wallace had mentioned Monica. Clinton might have attacked him.

It's about time someone got in the media's face. They make me sick, always trying to trap someone into saying something or twisting around what they did say.
