You see gay character in just about every movie, they are being called to host shows---almost in an in-your-face sort of way. Do you consider this an agenda?
I won't even go to movies that I know have gay characters because it just creeps me out---same with watching shows with the gay hosts. I am not hateful, it's just a creepy thing to watch anything that reminds me that this lifestyle exists. I'll never get used to it. Sorry.

it's the lifestyle that creeps me out, not the actual person---usually.

Hollywood has always been gay but now that it isn't an issue (as it shouldn't be) people are more open to be who they really are without the fear of being blacklisted. To me this is a good thing.
If you say the lifestyle creeps you out it's the same thing as saying the person creeps you out. Do people base their opinion of you on what you do in the bedroom?
In this day and age I'm still shocked that this kind of attitude still exists, you might as well say there must be some kind of agenda because there is a lot of black, Chinese, Mexican actors..........

That's just the way the world is right now, I guess.
Today there are many people out there who are embracing that lifestyle or welcoming it with open arms -- and this acceptance had just started. So I don't think it's an agenda...it just shows how the world is becoming more open-minded to homosexuals.
And to be honest, I don't think that they're making it okay to accept homosexuality...it's just that with our generation, we're growing up with it more tolerantly and more freely than previous generations have.
If you're never going to get used to it, then that's how you were raised -- no apology is neccessary. =]

No, its the equivalent of the roles portrayed by minorities a long time ago when the only time you saw someone of color, they were usually a servant.
Gay is the new minority. Gay people get stereotyped too (female mechanics, male hair dressers, etc.).
BTW, my favorite "gay scene" in a movie has to be from "Conan the Barbarian" where Conan acts shy and embarrassed to disrobe and lures the gay snake priest away to steal his clothes. That was probably 20 years ago.

i dont think gay people are creepy, if they dont up front say they are gay half the time i dont even know that they are
i like an actor or movie or show based on how good it is, does it make me laugh , does it make me cry, does it make me scream, not oh my god is that person gay or eww did you know they were gay
how is it any different than a show or movie being about blacks or latinos, everyone needs a show they can relate to

Then turn off your TV and stay in the trailer. Conservative figures estimate that 10-20% of the population is gay... regardless of race.
