My son draws very well and he has also made some drawings that have been used for the school shirts , his drawings have his initials secretly aded onto the picture but I have not been able to find information that I can use to copyright them. Please , any honest , serious answers would help. Thanks for your time.

PS. by the way we live in Texas , just incase that matters.

It does not matter if you live in Texas or wherever, it is a federal thing. It is www.copyright.gov. It is $45 to submit an application(which you can print out for free from the website once you get there) and you have to fill out a short form that is 3 pages long and submit 3 copies of the artwork or signature. You send it US mail with your check and the day they get it (usually a week) the copyright is in place, but it takes 3-4 months for your certificate. During this time you can write "copyright pending" while waiting for this certificate and it will still be protected. Hope this helps...good for you for encouraging your child to flaunt his talents!

The Library of Congress issues Copyrights in the USA. Put that in your search engine ( Library of Congress ) and it is a simple process. I have done many times for screenplays, art, and books I have written.
