As rich and vast as this country is, I was wondering, are there any foundations or municipalities (city and/or state) that offer financial assistance for relocation?

I moved from Detroit to Indianapolis about a year and a half ago, when I got here I went to a shelter called the Care Center. They had plenty of recources available. I moved into an apartment within a month. P.S. I had no money when I got here and was recovering from a cocain habit.

There aren't a lot of cities that offer and it is finding it that is hard ... Your best bet is to try to relocate through an employer...I live in Las Vegas and I know employers here often pay for reloctions expenses. Depends of your career though...What is your specialty?

well maybe a church could help if your life is in danger. um... why do you want to move? because maybe the police or some one like that oh I just remembered the welfare department (or social services)will move you to another state. I think Im not sure..
