b) 4x - 3 = x + 2 => 3x = 5 => x = 5/3
c) 1/3(y + 2) = 1/5 (multiply both sides by 3)
y + 2 = 3/5 => y = 3/5 -10/5 => y = -7/5
d) x - 1/3 + x + 2/a =1/3
2x = 1/3 -2/a +1/3
2x = 2/3 -2/a (transform to same
denominator)
2x = (2a - 6)/3a
x = (2a - 6)/6a (factorization)
x = 2(a - 3)/2(3a) (simplification)
