Check the wiring harness from your ign. module to the crank and camshaft sensors. sometimes the wires will chafe through and ground out on the engine block. Also, check the ground wires where they bolt underneath the ign. module. Your module may be bad, but before you replace it, write back and tell us what code number you are getting, and what year and model Buick you have. If you give us more info. we can answer better.

Three things to check:

Wires
Plugs
Ignition Contol Module

The 3800 is a large engine in a small space. My experience has been that on the GM front-wheel drive V6's, the Ignition Control Module gets damaged over time from the heat. Check the wires and plugs for fouling or bad connection before removing the coil packs to check the ignition module.

because you replaced the crank sensor, the most user-friendly ingredient for the project you describe on that vehicle i'd be having it examined by a qualified man or woman with the incredible equipment. The cam sensor gained't reason the engine to stop operating. If it ran nicely for 6 days i'd suspect the crank position sensor is a defective area. On a vehicle that age you also may have a wiring or ECM (computing gadget) project besides as a gas shipping project.
