I am not used to being an angry person. I am talking to people all angry and my patience is zero. I can not afford to act like this although I do have legitimate things I am working through with a counselor andshe just says to try medication. HELP

Well you don't say what those legitimate things are, but trying taking up a sport or exercise. Maybe working out would be a way of getting rid of some of your anger. Or try Yoga, or some other calm relaxation method.
Also if the counselor isn't helping, find a new one.

If talking to angry people was what I did for a living, I'd find another job. Consider it as my work here is done, time to move on to something else. Medication would not solve my problem, doing something productive about it will.

See a real therapist...preferably a psychologist...a shrink will just give you drugs...something inside you needs to come out before you erupt and you do something really bad...
