As in relation to acting? Timing is when you follow the rhythm of the performance, and come on stage to say your lines right on cue. You aren't figuratively stepping on anyone else's toes, or running over their lines.

In comedy, it's the hardest and most important thing to learn. To react or say your line in just the right amount of time to get that "laugh". It takes time to learn.
