near the end of a long-term project, decide, for budget purposes, to let go several of them, what are the qualifying factors for selecting the first round of departures? Is it something in their personalities, etc..? Your feedback is very much welcome..thanks.

Normally we look at who has senority (been there longer) also who work's harder? Who is never late & alway's on time? Who does EVERYBOY get along with? That's what we alway's look at.

I don't really care about their personalities unless it interferes with their work performance. Everyone I hire and fire relates to performance... I would retain those temps who have gone above and beyond the call of duty and let go of the others... and perhaps hire even different temps who I hope will be superior.

keep the most effective workers first and let go the less effective workers .....self starters are good for your business
