I think staying home with the kids is much harder because your doing housework and on top of that, you have so many distractions from your kids fighting, playing, screaming, crying, etc. At least when you go out to work, your all alone in your quiet office and you can get some work done. BUT, if I had a choice to either stay home with my kids, or go out to work and get a babysitter for the kids, I would definitely stay home! I would want to see them grown every step of the way.

Working out of the home is like the hardest thing ever. You can become so side tracked its ridiculous. I tried it and it last oh about 3 weeks and then I realized that i wasnt getting anything done.

I would rather stay home and be a "homemaker." It would be nice in the future when I decide to have kids to also have the ability to stay home with them instead of dropping them off somewhere everyday. Hopefully, financially this will be able to happen. I want to be there for their everything, not some stranger!

it really depends on the the kind of person you are. I think staying at home with the kids is harder, especially youngins. I myself am a stay at home mom and the work never ends. At least when you work out of the home you can leave it there when you go home and the adult interaction is wonderful. Going back to work sounds good right now.

Well I'm a stay at home Mom and I think its hard, especially when you have 5 kids. And I wouldn't change it for nothing.
I would like to go to work when the kids are older, but for now, I'll stay home with my chickies.
My answer is, staying home.

In general if you are working out of the home you still have to come home and do all the cleaning and kid stuff. So that is the harder one.

It all depends.

If my kids were over the age of 12 OUT OUT OUT....

But under the age of 12 it depends on a lot of things such as;

Are they old enough to go to school and day care? Day Care is a good place for you children to build social skills, but there are a lot of day care places that are not the best place to leave you children. If you going the day care route… check around with other friends and parents to get referrals.

Would you going back to work pose separation anxiety? If so, maybe try and put your child in day care when your not working first, that way you are not throwing them to the sharks… they can ease there way in to the new environment and you don’t have to worry about missing work

I am not a mother myself, but I had a big hand in raising my brother and sister and I worked at an after school till of recent. I like to think I know a lot about children… but maybe not so much on babies. I hope my advice helps and I wish you luck.
