I know how you feel I went through it last May. First of all you have to go to your Social Security office with you marriage certificate. Then they told me to wait at least a day before you go to the DMV so it can be processed. Then you'll have to go to your bank to change your name there. My bank at the time was in another state because I'm military and I had a to fax things. I would call your bank and any places you have a credit cards with, insurance company, pretty much any bills that have your name on them and ask what you need to do. I'm in the military so I had even more things to do with the name change. I'm just glad it's done with.

I wouldn't change my name. I did and now I regret it. I am going to change it back to my maiden name. A woman shouldn't loose her identity just because she chooses to marry. Just my opinion.
