I've got one from T-Mobile. Phone is not cheap, but they will allow you to use any of their phones for prepaid, where others only give you a few choices.

Cingular and Verizon require a use fee which is about $1 each day. I forget which but one of the two charges the fee even if you make no calls. You pay a flat fee every month $30 minutes are lost if not used.

T-Mobile you can buy minutes in increments and expire after 30 to 60 days. After you purchase $100 worth of minutes expiry is 1 year. No daily use fee, no monthly fee.

Well i will say this if you are able to get a contract then that would be better. I work at One-Stop Cellular and we have contracts for 1 year with Ntelos starting as low as 29.99 a month for 300 mins. Nights and Weekends starting at 7pm with free mobile to mobile this is a nation wide company so you can use your phone anywhere in the US and not be charged for Roaming. Ntelos roams off of 5 different towers Verizon, Alltel, Sprint, Cingular, US cellular. They have a 14 day return if you don't like the phone or the service then you can return it.The only think that you would be charged for is the amount of minutes that you used. I hope that this has helped you out.

Prepay will cost you more in the long run then a contract due it if you use up your minutes then the phone is turned off. Also when the end of the months come most cell phone company's make you add your minutes back on even if you did use any. So you do have to be care-full with that.

Ask around and buy a phone that you like, cheap and simple. prepaid is better because you are not tied down with a contract. Phones are getting cheaper these days. Look into ebay and or the TradingPost that is if you are living in Australia.

there is commonly some minimum quantity of minutes protected with the phone. study the packaging on the phone and it is going to allow you to recognize. once you run through that, there are one of those techniques to top off. through a can charge card on-line or purchase of a good-up card at a retail outlet are the most hassle-free. I have a improve telephone and locate its extremely decrease priced, for the reason that i do not use it a lot, and usually have it round for emergencies. minutes are sturdy for ninety days, and roll over in case you reBoost earlier the ninety days are up. If i purchase the minimum $20 card each 89 days, it finally ends up costing me lower than $7 a month to have a cellular telephone. the different producers have alterations in how commonly you should top off and the way or if the minutes roll over. i'm no longer suggesting improve is the suitable, it only works nicely for what i choose.

There is one you can get online or from Walmart, Sam's Clubs, Kmart, etc. called TracFone. I have a friend who swears by it. She wouldn't consider signing up for another company. My mother-in-law has AT&T prepaid phone. Good luck with your choice.
