I was induced to with my baby. I was nervous too. All I did was look forward to the end. I thought about what my unborn baby may come out to be and I felt great throughout the whole process.
Now I induction process is no fun. The contractions with come quick and hard. But just breathe deep and relax and the pains will pass over easily. Induction more than like doesn't work. In the end I had to have a c-section after being in labor for 13 hours. That was the extremely sucky part about it.

I am a mom of 4 kids. I have been induced with 3. Each labor was different. I actually had the most pain with baby #1. I think it is because my body had never given birth before. The 3 other times that I was in labor, even with pitocin, were easier. I had an epidural with the 1st 3 babies and my 4th and last I went natural. I didn't need anything for pain. I think that my body was just ready and knew what to do. The first baby is always a little scary, but you will do fine. Ask for an epidural if you need to. They don't numb you so much now that you can't move your legs. You Will be able to push, no problem with an epidural when the anesthesiologist is experienced.

first and foremost....CONGRATULATIONS!!! ok, now to the advice... no matter how nervous or scared you are, trust me, as soon as you have that bundle of joy in your arms it is all worth it. get a good nights rest if you aren't to nervous, you will need the energy. make sure you have some comfy pjs and slippers in your hospital bag. bring hair ties to keep hair off your neck and face during labor. fill a sock or panty hose with rice and bring with you to hospital, if you are having a lot of back labor, have your nurse or man put the sock in the microwave to warm up and rub up and down your back. DO NOT BE SCARED OF THE EPIDURAL! if you think you can do without, that's great, but if not....trust me, it's your best friend. i was so nervous when i had my little boy last year, but everything will be just fine. just relax and talk to your nurses and doc often. they are very helpful. god bless you and your baby.

Make sure you have it your way. My husband was asked to leave after I was induced because I wasn't on the delivery ward. Listen to your body. It is very scary but just remember that every contraction is closer to a baby. No point lying its painful and uncomfortable. You'll do good. Good luck and hope everything goes your way, if not demand it. Don't think you are being too demanding or are horrible to the staff. They expect it and will probably have had much worse!

Take a deep breath and relax. You are going to perform one of God's greatest miracles tomorrow. You are bringing a child into the world. Also, if you are married, make sure that he has plenty to eat, the baby's stuff is all ready and you have made plans for the trip home. Make sure your carseat is ready to go, too. Most hospitals won't release an infant unless you have a carseat for them. Good Luck and Congratulations!

I have 3 kids, and only the last one was induced. It seemed like it was worse than the other deliveries, but it was prob because my baby was 9 lb 1 oz! Try to stay calm and remember, it will be over soon and even the pain and such cant outlast your new baby! Congrats and good luck!

Pushing actually feels good..don't be afraid of the pushing!! (I'm not kidding.) It's the 'breathing through the contractions' when baby isn't far down the canal enough for you to push that totally sucks. If you think you're going to lose your mind without an epidural, honey, just ask for it!! You will be no less a mother for getting it.
Good luck!!

YAY!!!!!! Baby in the morning!!!! I don't know how in the hell you're gonna sleep, but you have to try. Best advice I have for you is to relax and go with the flow. Childbirth is never, never, never what you expect. You just have to roll with the punches. Try to take lots of deep breaths and don't be afraid to holler your head off if you want to! Oh what a happy day for you!!!! Enjoy it. Think of happy happy happy baby day stuff. Good Luck Honey!!!!!
