If you're training the baby to sleep through the night with the 'cry it out' method, then yes..so long as you have a monitor in the room in case baby stops breathing or starts choking. Also, it's not recommended to do 'cry it out' when baby is ill. It's very important to remember that the 'cry it out' method will take more than one, sometimes more than 2 or even 3 nights ( and longer on occasion!) to work, so you HAVE TO be vigilant and consistent and not go into the room unless you think something is wrong. Otherwise, you'll only confuse your baby and elongate his/her frustration.
Hope that helped!!

Well, it's better than going out to the garage and getting a sledge hammer and shattering the little's ones skull, so I guess yes, it'd be o.k., that is unless the child is under 6 months old, in which case, you must monitor SIDS, with a monitor....I'm some what confused....waking-up is not a noise issue in and of itself, so you must mean baby crying, upon waking, right? So, why not bring a crib into your room and keep the baby nearby. I wouldn't toss the baby in the pool, outside. And no, I would not rush the baby through a chipper/shredder. What's wrong with bringing the baby to your bad and let it sleep with you, provided you make sure the baby is safe from being crushed by you or your wife. I've tried to help, here and dissuade you from rash measures. Be safe....think baby safety; Don't try to eleminate the problem.

Well depends how old is the baby. I mean if the baby is a newborn he maybe wake up because he is hungry, but if the baby is old its ok to let them cry. My baby now is 13 months and i let her cry. Or maybe can be that the baby have some colic. Because colic comes in the night. I f he keeps doing like this maybe is better to ask to a doctor what is the best to do. You never know what can be wrong with the baby, and them only way to communicate with us is from crying. Maybe he wants some attention or he is in pain.A doctor will tell you. Good luck

I have 5 kids. So things you can try. 1 check diaper 2 does the child have colic. 3. Gas will wake them up to (there is over the counter relief)for gas for newborns. If your child doesn't have these problems don't pick him or her up rigth a way. rub their back tell them every things OK and wait about ten min. check on them again. make sure there okay more soothing and wait ten more min this will take a week if you work and don't have that flexiablity. Last you can try keeping baby a wake no nap for one day if your child is a year old or older. have him or her good and tried. if younger cut out late after noon nap if 4mons or younger. 5mons to 11mons cut mid day nap time in half. Make sure your child sleep time is the same (Bed and nap) every day as much as possible. Good luck hang in there it will get better.

NO! Specially if they are under a certain age. It is one of the crucial developmental things for a baby, being able to trust their parent. They need to know that you are going to be there. Most of the time babies do not cry unless they have a reason. If you have fed them and changed them and so on and they still cry. rock them. If you feel that there is a medical problem if they are colicky you could try switching them to soy formula. Sometimes that helps. But you should never just let your baby cry. The max for letting them cry should be like 20 minutes. My daughter cried a lot and she ended up sleeping with me all the time. You have to find what works for you so that the two of you get the most sleep.

And let the baby cry all alone until morning? NO! that is not ok. Maybe the baby is hungry, need a new diaper or had a nightmare. A baby dosent just wake up to be a bad baby they wake up because something is wrong.

My old commander once told me sleep is a crutch, so I guess this applies to parenting these days too. The Attachment parenting advocates beleive a child crying for 4 nanoseconds is abuse. I say, go for what you know. Only you know your child. If they are very young or ill, just hold them until they are soothed to rest. If they are perfectly well and older, and just trying to be a night owl, by all means close the door. Come check on them during the night whe you get up for water or a piss though. Too easy.

If you don't want your baby to feel loved and have trust in you, then sure go ahead and leave them all alone, I'm sure they will love you to bits and that's what they really need you to do for them. To get a better answer you should put more details, like how old the baby is, are thy eating enough, are they crying when they are waking etc .

Okay I have a 5 month old and she is very spoiled. If your child does not need to be changed and is not hungry it is okay to let the baby cry for a little while but go check periodically to make sure the child is alright. My daughter will cry until she hurls so I have to be very careful. Sometimes babies just want to be held and thats okay but we cant hold them 24/7!!!

never leave the door closed all night. if they wont stop crying check what they need a bottle diaper or just to be held and rocked. but if they are not crying then make yourself stay awake there will never come any good from leaving them alone all night while you try and get your 8 hours. you never know when something may happen then you will feel nothing but guilt.
