Does anyone know where I can download free audio books online??? Or at least really cheap ones?

Not on line. Most library's carry audio books, free of cost if you can get there. I have problems with my vision, I received a list of audio book so I was able to choose what I wanted to hear next call and see if it was in stock, if not they would track it from the main library and get it in for me. when it came in I then would find a ride to get it. (very small town there were many little villages in are township) I sure any library would be willing to work with you.

I agree that your local library may be the best place to find free audio books. I know some libraries have access to free audio books you can download (temporarily at least). (Sort've like netLibrary where you have access to a book for a certain period of time.) But I know sometimes it depends on your computer (mac/pc and which operating system and/or software you've got available to you.) I know that iTunes has some audio books that you can pay to download but am unsure how expensive they are. Just do an online search and you'll probably find a few sites where you can download audio books for a fee. There is at least one site, I can't remember the name of it, where an amateur (volunteer) was reading books out of copyright date and making them available to download one chapter at a time. But at the time none of the titles caught my attention so I didn't bother bookmarking it. Just be patient and do some searching and you may find just what you're looking for.

Go to Baen's Books on the web. Sign in to become a member, it's free. Once on the site you can go to the chat room, the Bar and converse with authors and others or go to the ebook site where you can not only read ebooks, but download them too for free. Happy reading!
