There might be a word for that, but if it's so rare that nobody would recognize the word, then why even use it?

"death cry" is the term for the sound that a rabbit makes before it dies. That's as close as I can get. :) "It's the only cry a rabbit makes its whole life long," Robert says, "just that one death cry and it's all over." -- from the book "A Day No Pigs Would Die"

If it were me, I would just say "last breath". :)

The term I can think of is "death rattle".
Not a very pleasant word for this breath that is often peaceful.
