I'm crazy about Life on Mars and am thrilled that they got a really good writer to remake it for the US market. In a way I wish they'd just keep the UK version, but the references are so UK specific that even I don't always get them (I live in the UK now).

I also wish that American tv would make shows like QI and Have I Got News For You. I don't think they'd ever do something so thought provoking or edutainment oriented, but I wish someone would.

Shows I hate: most of the reality shows like Big Brother. And I'm pretty tired of how many home improvement and property buying shows there are.

Most of them were sitcoms that are no longer on, although I still occasionally watch Keeping Up Appearances. There was one that took place at a home for the elderly, and one where the guy kept going back in time to another romance. I liked them because not the usual fare.

The only UK television that I watch is of the late, great Benny Hill, I believe that he was a great comic, his shows were not sick humor or making direct fun of other people. His was of making people laugh, and being happy.

Then of course there is DOCTOR WHO, no one can dispute this long running show.

Dr Who. I prefer Tom Baker as the best doctor, but this new series is pretty good.
Benny Hill. It's a shame that he is no longer with us. What a great comedian
Monty Python. These guys have cracked me up since the first time I saw 'em. I wish the group was still together.

Hi :)

I've always been a big fan of Monty Python, Faulty Towers, Black Adder, Are You Being Served and Open All Hours. All of them are very humorous, so that's why I enjoy all of them. I can't say I hate any though I can't really get into the soap opera ones *Eastenders and Coronation Street*, but I don't dislike them.

I used to love Coupling but sadly it's finished now. Coldfeet was another good one and I'm a huge Greenwing fan - it's so mad and surreal that you've got to laugh!
The old style comedy is brilliant as well - Black Addar (god I love that programme), Ab Fab, Faulty Towers, Red Dwarf - I'm sure you get the idea!
